The Reality of College Life

    When I was a kid, I always hoped to attend college because I want to be a successful person in the future. Until a day after I left my school, I received a letter from KPTM Kuantan. I have apply a course construction safety and I received to study at there. And from the day I have study today, I have many experiences from beginning until now.

     One of the good impact that I noticed when we are in college life is that teamwork. Teamwork between friends is beyond than important when we live apart from our family. Without friends, I guarantee that we cannot even taste the sweet of life living in community with different races and age and also survive in facing obstacles of life. Typically, we always have our ups and downs. When we are hit by hardship, our friends will help us, trying their best to solve our problem. Same goes in opposite way, we will help them as far as we could. We also can study together with our friends, sharing ideas and exchanging knowledge together. This is one of the biggest reason on why I still survive living far from my beloved family.

     Next ,in hostel , I meet my new  friend and we know each others .At hostel I have to learn how to be independent and now everything I have to do with my own .I really enjoy stay at hostel because there are many friend that funny and crazy that I have meet .I am very happy to stay at hostel but sometimes I miss my family at village .Everyday I eat single rice at a restaurant nearby the college and I really really miss my moms food .From that ,I learn on how to manage my financial with spending my money wisely .

     In addition, something that rarely that I learn from here is about independent. Usually, at home we are treated well and spoiled by our parents. But when we are big enough, we have to do all things by our own self. We must learn how to manage our life wisely. We also must learn how to respect other peoples in our daily life. The most important thing is to learn how to solve all of our problems in a proper ways. And we are old enough we also must learn on how to be a leader. So, all of these things really help me in my day and also in my life.

     In a nutshell, college is the place where you learn a great deal of very important life skills. From communicating and emphathizing with people of both genders and different ages, to listening to instructions and following orders and developing leadership skills. It is not a coincidence that there is a negative correlation between criminal offences and level of education , in all races and ages and gender all over the world and one of the main reasons for this is that the lessons that are learnt in college are so much more than just academic. So, although most of us only consider our career when we think about what college may do for us, the life skills we learn are equally important. We also get a many types of friends when at the college. We love KPTM KUANTAN very much.

The Universe

When we look at the sky above, we see varieties of stars, moon, the Sun and many else. There are so many of them up there and there are part of our universe. The universe is a very massive space which contains everything that exist. Either using our naked eyes or telescope, we can only see a small amount of them that exist in the universe. I have dream to go there, seeing the beauty of them in front of my eyes. 

The sun is the biggest and the largest planet in our solar system. It is the hottest planet even we can feel the heat when we are on earth. There are eight other planet in our solar system. For instance, when there are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. The most unique planet among all these eight planet is Saturn. It is because it has a ring surrounded it. It is said that these ring contain dust and ice revolving around the Saturn.

Besides, if I can go there, I would like to depart on the moon and officially be the second person on Earth to go there after Neil Armstrong. The moon is the brightest object in the night sky, it shine by reflecting sunlight. The moon takes 27 days and 8 hours to complete one rotation around the Earth. We can see different shapes of the moon as it travels around the Earth. 

Last but not least, I want to see the galaxies in front of my eyes. Galaxy is a group of stars and other planets being together by gravitational force. There are two types of galaxy.  One is the ring galaxy and the other one is spiral galaxy which is known as the milky way. All of these are beautiful creation of God.

Money Is The Root Of Evil

   Money is very important in our life. Without money, we will not able to live in this unpredictable economy country. But money can also be the root of all evil. Money can be very dangerous, if people are too obsessed with it. If people are too loved with money, they would do anything that they could which will lead to criminals, robbery, suicide and many else.

   Many people nowadays do not realize that they are being slaved by money. They are willing to work for 24 hours per day and have no time for their families and friends in order to get the money. For married people, they will abandoned their family times and focus more about their work. Same goes to unmarried people. They don’t have leisure time to spend with their friends. This can lead to divorce and mental problems.

   Maybe money just an object but it can destroyed our life. It is labeled “an evil” because of human beings. Because of money, a lot of crimes like robbery and theft birth. People nowadays most bravely do anything because of money because their states and power.

   As a conclusion, evil is not caused by money. It comes from ourselves and also from our attitude. So, train ourselves to avoid being the victims of money.

My Brother and Sister

   Every one of us in the world has a family. Some of them luckily has a brother and sister. Brother and sister are first friend to us. They are people nearby to us that we can ask for help. Although sometime that treat me bad but I know that they love me. Because, when I am in trouble they always give their hand to help me. My brother and sister are the best amazing people in my world.

    Brother and sister are so important since they have been in our life since we were young. They are just the same as our best friend. But what makes they difference between best friend and siblings is they are permanent meanwhile best friend can not last longer. How hard or how bad we have been fighting, they still there with us during our weakest time when no one else in the world. Having them in our life is like sun shining our life to make it more cherish. We also can share the same hobby for instance the boys will spend their weekend, watching their favourite football team in television. For girls, they will help their mom in cooking at the kitchen. These are the reasons why we should love our siblings because they can be our forever best friend instead of family members.

     Other than that, brother and sister are people that always by our side in our up and down. They are the one that will be our first helper when we are in trouble. With them also we create a beautiful moment in our life. We spend many time with them in our life. We also share all of our laugh and tears with them. In future, although we live far apart form each other we still will meet each other because the bond was really strong. We can still meet together under the same roof. These beautiful moment in our life can not be gained easily. So, we must appreciate all the moments and keep it in our mind. In addition, we must care and love our brother and sister because they are a part of our life.

         As a brother and sister , you must be help your sibling with his problem .For example help they to solve problems in academic and others activities .Whenever your siblings need help ,as a brother and sister  you should always be there to lend a helping hand without asking many question .Besides ,you should be responsible enough to take care your younger sibling whether at home or others place such as playground and supermarket .For that your parent will have confident with you to let younger sibling go with you when you leave the home .

          In a nutshell, we must love each other very much and except to live together under the same roof forever. Brother and sister also can be best friends. We can share problem together. Between brother and sister also can be a good listener because brother and sister have a same blood. So, we must protect the relationship from misunderstand or others. If have a misunderstand, we must calm and think wisely to solve the problems.

My Best Friend

    

     In our life, we meet many people. Sometime, we see new face everyday that we never meet before. We did not  know that some of the people that we meet today will be our friends in the next day. Surely, all people in this world have friends in their life because without  friends our life will be lonely. But, best friend will always by our side in any condition.

      A true best friend is a friend who is always willing to help us when we are in hardship. No matter how hard or difficult the situation that we are facing, they always here trying to help anything that they could in order to make us happy and put a smile on our face. Let us take the simplest example such as lack of money especially during in collage life. One of the biggest problem in collage life is that majority of the students do not have enough money except for rich people I guess.  When we do not have enough money to buy anything especially foods, there will be someone who will lend us their money without hoping payback or in return. And that is what we called it as  best friend. Either they come from rich or poor family, they still wanting to help us with what they have.  And this kind of friend we have to appreciate a lot for always there during our hardship.

        They also can always caring about you .He or she can take interest in your problems no matter how big your problem may be .They can be some one who love us for who we are .A best friend usually will be sit beside you to heard all problem that you get and try to gift spirit or advice to help you to solve the problems .For example , we can share our problems with them as best friends always lend us an ear and a shoulder to cry on we are down condition .Everything that we do our best friend will keep support us .It shows that best friend is important thing in our life next to family ,for without it life would be lonely .

      Distance might be one of the reasons why we lose contact with each other. But, in friendship we have to protect the bond that we create with our friends. We must keep in touch even we are far apart and make our own way. Although we are far apart, we can still keep contact like we usually do. In the modern life, it not impossible for us to keep contact with each other. We can use the social network such as Whatsapp, Wechat and many more. So, there are no excuse for us to lose contact to each other. In addition, we can make a reunion with our friends. In this way, we can still meet and spend some time together after a long time does not see to each other. It is not that easy to find a best friend. So, we have to appreciate them and never try to lose them cause a best friend are hard to find.

     Last but not least, we must appreciate our best friend because the friendship will never end. A best friend has to first meet several qualifications and have many outstand characteristics to have the honor of holding such a prestigious title. Being a best friend is more than someone that you are seen everyday and grown up with. The idiom also tell that the friendship is goal who has a big meaning. So, we must love our best friend. Not just anyone can be called your best friend because the best friend is who make we happy and enjoy the life together. Sometimes, best friend are not real friend but they are our family also.

Fasting Month

                   

 

In the muslim calendar , there is a month that every muslims  people are not allowed to eat or either drink during day time .A month that they have to concentrate on their prayer and spend less their time of our everyday life.This month is the ninth month in muslim calendar which is called Ramadhan or also known as the month of fasting .Ramadhan is the month that every muslim people await in every year .Ramadhan also can be called as the holy month where all of muslims do the goods deeds .This month is also come before Syawal , which is the month that all the muslims celebrate after 30 days fasting during daytime .

                         In addition , in fasting we must intention .We have to wake up early morning before subuh prayer  to eat .Then we must stop eating and drinking at  subuh .Then , we have to break fasting during adzhan mahgrib .To follow the sunnah , we must eat a tamar at the the break fasting .

                         During night , it is common that every muslims go to the masjid and spend several time or hour in praying and reciting the Quran .Besides them praying five times a day ,it also has a special prayer which is called Terawih prayer .This prayer is a bit longer to the daily prayer such as Mahgrib , Isyak and so on .We also spend the entire night to the prayer and recite the Quran .When it comes to 10 days before the end of Ramadhan , every muslim will do the Qiamulail .Qiamulailis the prayer that muslims do at the 2/3 at the night .The condition for this Qiamulail is that we have to sleep at least a few minutes and wake up at the 2/3  night .We will chase the “Laillatul Qadar” which is the night that Prophet Muhammad first received the Holy Quran .

                        What is Iftar ? Iftar is the meal which is eaten after sunset .The fasting which occurs during the month of Ramadhan in muslim tradition .Spending my Iftar here in Kptm Kuantan has been fun .Even though it is my first Ramadhan and my first iftar without my family , I don’t feel that sad .Getting together with friend at Mahgrib and just enjoy your meal together has been a very nice memorable . Normally , what my friend and I do is that after evening , we head straight for the bazaar at Dewan Mat Kilau which is at a few metres from my campus .There , we would buy our choice of food . After another look around the bazaar , we would all go back to the campus and wait patiently to Mahgrib to come .When the Adzhan starts , we recite the prayer together and break our fast .We usually , share everything that we bought at the bazaar .

Last but not least , the fasting month is the best month in the year .The fasting month will make a person get a healthy body and also will make a person healthy in mind .The fasting month also can make we near to our god ,Allah .when we go for teraweh or wake up for Qiamulail in the night .Fasting is also to practice the religion and learn to attain piety .To reach this , five daily prayer is compulsory , zakat must be paid , prayers are to be said in both the evening and night of Ramadhan , smoking must be stopped , pornographic videos and pictures are to be kept away and excessive intake of food is avoided .

My Pet

        In our life , every one need  friend .Has some people need pet to be his friend . Some people need pet to be his friend . I have one pet and it stays with me since it was young. I give its name as Rosmas. It has a pair of blue round eyes and pink nose. It has hairy at its head and I had gave it where a diamond chain.

       My pet Rosmas can be my new friends when I’m bored. Rosmas always make me happy and laughing because the action of its. Rosmas also like to disturb me when I’m sleeping or watching movies. We always play together and I also love to hug Rosmas because of its chubby body. Rosmas also is a very smart cat. It used to know my timing for every single day. She would wake me up in the morning, by licking my face. It even knew what time I came home. I noticed this when I used to hear crawling at the  door of my home with her claws.

        Sometimes Rosmas can be the sweetest cat ever. We always hangout together. I would take it everywhere I want. One day I took it to the shopping mall in Besut. I carried it in my luggage to everystore that I went. When I stayed at home,  I remember how we could play in the yarn.  I would drag it slowly in front of it and it would just jump at me like crazy to catch it.

        Although cats like to be scratched , they only like attention when we suit them .Rosmas like to sleep , groom and play near me .It does not like a lot of attention .It likes me to be around . It always comes to me for attention . It also would rather be by himself and exploring .It can amuse themselves and are very easily trained to do something such as catch a rat and so on .

        In a nutshell, the most common animal that can be adopted as our pet is cat. Either cat or dog, both of them can be the most suitable pet. I think cat is the most suitable animal as our pet. Cat is like a human being, it can understand our feelings whether in a good mood or moody. I’m so grateful to have a cat like Rosmas. I could not imagine how I would feel when the time of death for Rosmas come. It must be so sad as it feels like losing one of our family members.

If I am a superhero

When we are small, there are many comics and superhero  movies that we have watched. There are many superhero that really attract me. Such as Superman, Batman, Spiderman and many more. Actually being one of that are my wish. If I can really be a superhero, I wish that I can run as lightning, I can race against the time and be really fast. All of my job will be done as fast as lightning.

And with that power, I will named myself as “Flash”. Why? Because I can move like a flash of light or even faster. With that kind of amazing power, I can help other peoples. Maybe all crimes can also be avoid with the help of me. The criminal can’t run away from me as I am really fast. Worlds nowadays really need a superhero. It really brings many benefits. Other than I can caught all the criminals with a blink of an eyes. There are still many things that I can do.

 Besides, if I am a superhero, I can finish all of my work without a worry. I can also came to class early everyday. If I woke up late in the morning, I can just arrive at the class on time without a worry. All of my time can just be managed wisely. I also don't have to buy a car. I can just go to the class by my own.

Other than that, I can be a star in all sports as almost sports really need a fast reaction and moves. So, I can play well in all sports such as football, hockey, basketball and many more.

Next, with those powers I can travel around the world. Distance will never be a problem to me. If I wish to go somewhere, I can just be there at that time. No need to worry about the transport and time. I can also meet all of my friends easily . Although they are far away from me, I can be beside them in a blink of an eyes. Actually, if we being a superhero there are more responsibilities that we have. So, even we are not a superhero doesn’t mean that we have no responsibilities. We must act and think wise in our life for our own future.

Malaysia

Every country has a multiracist country. Politeness in language a real identities and it is also differentiate with other country. Malaysia is knownly with many ethnic which has own identities.

                Malaysia has variety of beautiful places to be visited. A place for honeymoon, a place for family vacation, any sort of places can be found in Malaysia. In Malaysia, we have one of the famous island in the world, which is Langkawi Island. Langkawi is a very beautiful island, clean as clear as crystal and fresh scenery. Langkawi also is a duty-free island, which is cheaper price compared to any other island. Besides, Malaysia also has an iconic tower whis is listed in top 10 highest tower in the whole universe. And it is known as Petronas Twin Tower which is located at Kuala Lumpur. 

     In addition, Malaysia has many varieties of foods. Malaysia consists of multiracial peoples and lived in a harmony country. In Malaysia, foods are well known with many types because there are many choices. For example, nasi lemak are famous among the muslims. Nasi lemak always being served for breakfast. Among Chinese, they really famous with their moon cake. They are many flavour and really delicious. Another one is Indian, they are likely known with their Chapati. Although Malaysia have many races but we always try to taste all of those other races foods.

     Beside that ,Malaysia have famous for its many unique cultures ,as it is a multiracial country .There are different traditional games ,dances ,music ,festivals and traditions for every different race. For example ,the malays have its famous “Congkak” and “Gasing”  games ,and its “Silat” and “Mak yong” .The Indians have their Deepavali Festival and the Chinese have their Lion Dance .Even though ,there are many different races staying together ,they have cooperated with each other in all aspects .Each race even learns others races traditional games ,dances and music .This improved their relationships between us .

In a nutshell, Malaysia is a our country and we must make malauysia’s name proud to around the world withour attitude and discipline. Malaysia is unique place that it has many places of beautiful, is the creaze of tourists. Petronas twin tower, kl tower, underwaterworld at langkawi, redang island at Terengganu are few for the many wonders which attract human curiosity. Petronas twin tower in Kuala Lumpur has been described as a paradise on earth. Malaysia also is a peaceful country.

Friendship

     

  All of us have heard about the most common quotes to describe about friendship which is “a friend in need is a friend indeed“. We need true friends in our life. A real or true friend is always there with us when we need them. At the same time, it is our responsibility to remain helpful towards our friends. Friendship is the most valuable relationship in the life of a person instead of having many important things in life. Friendship is another name of care and support to each other. It is based on the trust, feelings and proper understandings to each other. Everyone needs a good and loyal friend to share bad or good life events, enjoy happy moments and share unbearable events of the life. Friends are the second backbone to us after our family. Try to imagine living in this world without friends ? Sure that no one has a complete satisfied life and no cherish in their life. Good friends give us many positive vibes while bad ones give us the opposite. That means that we have to choose our friend wisely either bad or good in order to become useful to others.

         Friends can be both types good or bad. Good friends can lead us to good path meanwhile bad friends can lead us on bad path .Our bad times make us realize about our good and bad friends . So we should be careful when choosing our friends in life .Bad friends can give a negative impact to us as they are quite enough to ruin our life completely .We need someone special in our life to share our feelings whether happy or sad to talk with someone to remove our loneliness to cheer up and many more .In the good company of our friends we get the motivation to do any hard work in life and it becomes easy to pass bad times cheerfully .

           As a college students, friendship is really valuable to each of us.It is ecause, friends are the one who always there with us in our ups and downs situation. Friends are also the one who keep supporting us more than our parents who are far away from us. They are the one who inspire us and keep motivating ourselves. With friends also we can share our laugh and tears together. They are the only people for us to share our daily moments besides our family. It is really an enjoyable moment for us with our friends if we can succeed in our future together. So, as a friend we must always keep supporting each other. Sometimes, we might argue with our friends because of a small reason and  misunderstanding. But, we must act wisely to protect the relationship. A true friend will always be with you no matter how hard the situation is.

           

            

            True friendship is a feeling of love, sharing and caring. It is a feeling that someone understands and appreciates you as you are, without any flattery. It gives a feeling that you are ‘wanted’ and that you are ‘someone’ and not a faceless being in the crowd. A true friend stands by you through thick and thin. We cannot live alone. We need someone to share our joys and sorrows. True friendship knows no boundaries of caste, creed, race and sex.

             Last but not least, never rush to make friends because friendship needs a good foundation. We must accept our friends as they are. The essence of friendship is sincerity and giving one’s self to your friend without thinking of getting anything in return. At times, when we meet new and interesting people. Our loyalty changes and our old friends are forgotten. A lesson to be learnt “ Do not forget old friends while making new ones”.

An Unexpected Journey

          

  

  On the date of 20^th of June 2015, it was the registration day for me as a student at Kolej Poly-Tech MARA, Kuantan. Almost 6 months, I have stayed home, enjoying myself with my family and friends, doing what we used to do after a very long time, struggling and keep struggling for our SPM 2014 at school. But then I knew my long holiday has came to an end, after I got an offer letter from KPTM Kuantan to further my studies under Diploma in Civil Engineering for Construction Safety. When I have arrived here, I was very happy and excited because I could not wait to meet new friends that came from many different state and also lecturers, besides than facing new challenges since I knew that college’s life is quite tough compared to school’s life. After registering myself at the hall, I went out to buy things for instance toiletries, books and many else. When I have finished unpacking my stuffs in my room here, it was the time for my family to return back home, leaving me here for a few years. Only God knew how sad was I. I felt so homesick and so moody to join the orientation week which started on the next day.

     
           After that, I was separated with my parents and have to stand all by myself. I have to start a brand new life at a new place and also new friends. At 5 pm, I gathered at the tennis court with other students. It was really crowded. Students came from entire Malaysia. So, I got to know each other. Then, we were separated into several group based on the number  that we were given at the back of our file. We also were given a facilitator for each of the group. So, it would be easier for us. We were guided by them. In our group, we were asked to create our group name, symbol and also our own flags. It was really interesting. Next ,we went back to our hostel and prepared  ourself for iftar. At that night, after we performed our prayer, we gathered at the hall way to hear speech from the facilitators for us. At that night, we also sang a few songs. The songs were really interesting. After the speech, all of us can get back to our hostel and get some sleep for our next activity which was tomorrow. It was really an exhausted day for me. I was really tired and slept like a log that night.

  

          On the next day, as usual we were gathered at the hall way, sitting in groups before starting any activity from the facilitators. Hall way was like the main place at KPTM Kuantan, all the classrooms, the office and also lecturers room was located there. In the evening, we had our ‘tour day’ at here, leading by the facilitators from each group. We finally got to know that which one was the academic hall, civil and electrical engineering block, classrooms, the main office and also the sports area. We were so grateful that this KPTM Kuantan, were not so big as we expected before getting in here. The distance between our hostel to classroom, the mosque, the library were all in one way. During night, we had our briefing for loan in studying. The speech was given by the HEP, they told us on how to apply the loan from MARA or PTPTN. By telling us this way, it has gave us a bit of guidance on how to apply the loan or scholarship to ease our study billing.

            On the fourth day which was the last day of orientation ,as usual we were woke up to take our sahoor and we prayed together in the mosque . For the last time , the facilitators prepared our sahur in front of our room .We can only  thanked them because waking up early in the morning because of their responsibilities .After having our subuh prayer,we went to our room to prepare for the next activity .The first activity held was MENTOR MENTEE SLOT .All of the students were separated by their own course before the mentor gave the information to each student .The slot was started with ice breaking session with the group members .The objective of MENTOR MENTEE was to create the communication between students and the lecturer if they have any problems and solved  the problem with the advice from mentor .After that ,the program was continued with the briefing from the board management .I was very happy because the they gave more facilities especially the stationeries for student ,printer and many more .The program was ended by giving away the prize to the winner as their reward .Encik Kassim Bin Osman as the Director of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Kuantan  was invited to give prize .I was very excited because my group was announced as the winner in group activity .The opening speech was given by director of Kolej Poly-Tech MARA Kuantan and he closed the program of orientation session for July 2015 officially .

             Last but not least, I felt so enjoy for the orientation week. I can finally adapted myself here and felt more comfort compared to the first day when I arrived here. The orientation week gave me more benefits such as getting more new friends. I hope the friendship that I got here would stay forever and ever. It also have more activity at last of the orientation such as performance from us and speech from the principal of KPTM KUANTAN. After the orientation day, the lesson will be started and l felt so nervous to continue my study. However after orientation day, we got the permission to go home before starting the learning session. I felt very happy and break-fasting with my beloved family. I hope I can get the highest CGPA and get the Diploma for Civil Engineering course. I wanted to prove to my parents that I can also be one of the successful engineers in Malaysia one day. I wanted to make sure that they will proud with my success.
